About the Author

Dionne Winters has been a fabulous story teller since she was a little girl. She could spin a tale that would keep her family and friends entertained and guessing to the very end.

As others busied themselves with playground games in elementary school, Dionne dutifully wrote skits incorporating characters from her favorite children television shows to her grandmother’s favorite soap operas.

She continued her interest in writing through high school and was News Editor of her high school newspaper in her Senior year.

Dionne obtained her BA in Television/Film/Radio ( Mass Communication) with a Minor in Professional Writing from Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire, where she enjoyed writing teleplays, commercial spots and screenplays with her fellow classmates.

After graduating from college and getting married she headed west to the bright lights of Hollywood where she worked her way from Wardrobe Designer to Production Coordinator to eventually Producer for independent films.

She left the film business after several years and entered the 9 to 5ers daily grind which abruptly ended with the birth of her first son Joshua.

Through her years in Hollywood, climbing the corporate  ladder and being a stay at home mom to her son Joshua, she still pursued her passion for writing by drafting several works of fiction in her spare time.

After the arrival of her second son Ethan in January 2006 she decided to combine her passion for writing and her love for her children and began drafting  children stories.

Dionne Winters will make her debut as a children’s author not with one but three self published children’s books .

“The Invitation”, "Quentin's Big Red Sled"  and “Mine Mine Mine, Me Me” under her children’s book company Itty Bitty’s Books will be available by the end of 2008.

Rest assured there is much more to come.

Dionne has a catalog of story ideas and books in the works, not only children’s books but also her works of adult and young adult fiction which will be published under her book company name Nidus Books.

Keep a watchful eye on Dionne Winters. She has only begun to tell her tales.
